Meeting of the Minds
Griffen had decided he was going to start ordering parts for new computer upgrades. It wasn't his thing but it had to be done. That was when he had noticed someone was already doing his job for him. That was a little surprise.

He smiled a little as he picked up one of the boxes to check out what was being installed. He gave a low whistle of geek approval as he wandered into the computer room. He looked up and had a moment of surprise.

"Miss Stark?" He blinks again then offers her a smile. "It's good to see you again. Is there anything I can do to help you?"

He doesn't seem as shy as he once was but then again the first time they met was in the middle of a crisis and the next time they were around each other was when the Defenders got called in. Griffen notes that they never really got to talk before.

	He agrees with her glancing her way with a smile. "It took me a while to get up the nerve to take the tests so it's legal for me to drive since in New York there are lots of other ways to get around." The buses he knew like the back of his hand. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Well first you have to apply for a test. I know where that's done so I can show you. Then you have to pass the tests they put you through. Then you get a sheet that proves you passed the tests so you can go to the Department of Motor Vehicles to get your license," he explains. He notes as they ease through the traffic that they're almost at the place.

This was awesome. They could talk about something without him becoming nervous. "I'll help you since the ways some of the tests are done will be different than what you're used to."

Since they're at an intersection with lights, he starts to explain what they mean. That's important and it gives him a chance to not be nervous at all. He does though note to himself that he will not drive during mud slides ever.

"A written test to prove you understand the laws involving cars. Then there's a practical test. That's proving to a representative of the government that you are a competent driver. The lights are like signals to let drivers down when they can stop and go so there aren't as many accidents." She has so much to learn. Thank ....something that he can probably ask for help explaining cars to her.

	"There are different kinds of tests. Have you ever had to stand before your peers and speak of something that was difficult to talk about?" He can think of many times he had to do things like that. 	"It should be. I've been to places like this before. Good beer and good food," he seems pleased by the location. "I like a good steak or a good rack of ribs." The van is locked and Griffen starts to walk towards the restaurant. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	He smiles and hopes he can find her something interesting. Since he is driving he will have to be more choosy over his own drinks so he doesn't make himself sleepy or unaware of things. Dark wood paneling with well polished metal decorating the place? Well yeah it would look like home. Griffen actually seemed comfortable here too when one of the waiters showed them to a booth. It was high up off the main floor for someone like Griffen so Svalin would get o see him teeter just a little as he climbed up.

He looks at the drink list then starts to point out the different kinds of things that look interesting. He himself plans on starting on a dark draft beer then switching oer to water latter.

	Svalin went with something called Long Island Iced Tea. She wasn't sure why it was listed on the drink list, but she said she would try new things. She ordered a burger and french fries. Zoey had been nice enough to show her the wonders of burgers and french fries. Though her favorite Migard food so far has been Chinese food. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Griffen is a steak man. The kind that feels the meat should nearly be mooing on his plate. That with a baked potato is his kind of a meal. He does though like that Svalin is trying new things. It's cool. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	He wondered what he was supposed to say. He was sure there was some way to say he was glad she had chosen to come with him. He likely wouldn't have gone out alone. He clears his throat. Sop being nervous O'Niell. "I'm glad you came with me Svalin." He decides that mentioning that women normally don't find him appealing would ruin this a little. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
