Learning to be a Southern Gentleman
1. Make sure to compliment her whenever possible.
2. Open doors, pull out chairs. Don't sit until she does.
3. Smile and be polite. Pay attention to her.
4. If she cooks, compliment the food.
5. Remember your 'sir' and 'ma'am'.

Okay, he could do this. Lulu had been a wellspring of information about how to be a Southern Gentleman and Cassidy was ready to give it a try on Izzy. Today, rather than his usual jeans and t-shirt, he wore (over his containment suit) black slacks, dress shoes, and a dark red dress shirt with a black tie. Uncle Scott was curious when Cassidy asked him to teach him how to tie a tie, and Cassidy only said that he was just trying to look a little nicer.

Something in Uncle Scott's grin said he knew what it was for, but he didn't press the issue.

Soon enough, Cassidy arrives at Izzy's door with a few flowers from the garden and knocks gently.

When informed to dress nicely, Izzy asked around for a dress until she found a red one that looked good on her. The only other dress she owned was the one that she wore to the charity ball...and she thought that was way to fancy. Izzy felt a little out of her element in dresses, but she'd wear one because she wanted to look nice for Cassidy.

When he knocked on her door, she greeted him with a smile.

"Hey Cassidy."

	"Hi, Izzy." Cassidy smiles. He has to remember his breathing exercises so he doesn't accidentally mute himself while talking to her. He hands Izzy the flowers and adjusts his coat. "So...I was thinking we could try for dinner and maybe some ice cream? I've got us set up with a ride to Salem Center." he says. "How does that sound?" he asks. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Yes, he can. Do not make fun of the awesomeness that is Squidward, Izzy, or I will have to stand up for him." Cassidy grins.

Braddock gives the pair a ride into town and hands the kid a bit of cash. Cassidy thanks him profusely.

"Treat your woman right, kid. See you in the morning. Five-thirty sharp." Brad says.

At the restaurant, Cassidy opens the door for Izzy, and then finds a table and pulls out her chair.

"So...pizza followed by ice cream sound good?" he asks.

"I've been looking forward to this all week, Izzy. I'm glad we managed to get some time to just hang out. I didn't get to tell you how much I appreciated you coming to Scotland for Christmas with me." Cassidy says, continuing the hand-holding from the car once they were seated.

"Miss Cassidy...Theresa, really liked you."

A server comes by and asks for their drink orders. Cassidy lets Izzy order first, before going with a Coke for himself. When she leaves to get their drinks, Cassidy speaks up again.

"So...when do we go to Kentucky?" he asks.
