"Would you have rather have her be like her parents and wait too long?" she asked. In some way Tasha and Tony had always loved each other, they had just been consummate idiots when it came to affairs of the heart. Thankfully they had grown up, grown a little wiser and did something about their feelings for each other before it was was too late.
"She'll always be your little girl, but she's an adult now. She has a husband who is madly in love with her and will always protect her."
She kissed him.
"In a few years we'll have grandbabies to bounce on our knees and spoil rotten."
