Sammy kissed his cheek in thanks and took the flowers to put them in water. "Maybe I should ask her what girls really do on normal dates. I always helped Dad with getting gifts for Mom, so all my training is geared toward the other way. If I ever dated a girl, I'd have the process down cold."
"I had to save my favorite Mad Scientist," she teased when she returned. "Although I'm sure Alice would have saved you, but then you'd be in her harem with the other two."
