When the Destroyer Attacks
Asgard was no stranger to attacks. Attacks on the Golden Realm came frequently and the host of Asgard would rise to meet the challenge before them. It was a never ending cycle of death and violence. One day it would end with a final battle, but that would not be today.

Legions of the deal led by Hela followed after the Destroyer. Multitudes of the dishonored dead and the common dead followed their mistress to the walls of Asgard. The dead weren't the only ones approaching the city. Trolls and Frost Giants were also in the ranks of the enemy. Their numbers were far greater than the number of those defending the city.

At the head stood a giant figure in shining armor. The Destroyer, once created to challenge the mighty Celestials, led the advance on Asgard.

	Dark Elves on black steeds approached the city from the east. Each rider held a long bow and arrows were shot toward the top of the walls. Behind them came the legions of the dead. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	The Dark Elves weren't just warriors and horsemen, they were also familiar with the use of magic. Magical blasts and fireballs came from the ranks of the Dark Elves and toward the defenders. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Vincent's cheek twitched, remembering the last time a magical attack came at him and Asleif, his scar burning with phantom pain. He quickly raises a defensive shield to cover Asleif's preparations, and follows it with an illusion to make it look as if the fireballs were turned back, rather than blocked. 	The dark elves didn't fall for the illusion, but they did notice the real ones coming at them. A few scattered and a few put their own shields up. A few blinked out of existence and reappeared behind the walls of the city. The others returned fire with their own magical blasts. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Vincent clenched his jaw as he saw riders vanish, sensing their translocation. "Feh... a pity your grandfather isn't here. We could use a mare for a distraction." He manages to give her a brief smile. "Give them Hel, I'll assist in repelling the ones who advanced." His experiences with his family have made him more suited to direct confrontations than artillery anyway.

He grips his staff and flies off the wall, letting out a whistle that was taught to him most of his lifetime ago. There are intruders to be hunted.

"Fight safely, my friend," Asleif said, quietly, before turning her attention back to the problem at hand.

She was no storm god, but she was of the line of Frost Giants, magic users, and the daughter of Thor. The elements yielded to her spells as lightning bolts slashed down from the sky like the points of godly spears.

"By all the power at my command... your menace shall end here!"
