When the Destroyer Attacks
Asgard was no stranger to attacks. Attacks on the Golden Realm came frequently and the host of Asgard would rise to meet the challenge before them. It was a never ending cycle of death and violence. One day it would end with a final battle, but that would not be today.

Legions of the deal led by Hela followed after the Destroyer. Multitudes of the dishonored dead and the common dead followed their mistress to the walls of Asgard. The dead weren't the only ones approaching the city. Trolls and Frost Giants were also in the ranks of the enemy. Their numbers were far greater than the number of those defending the city.

At the head stood a giant figure in shining armor. The Destroyer, once created to challenge the mighty Celestials, led the advance on Asgard.

	Halbjorn pursues briefly, cutting a couple foes down, but that slows him enough to get behind the retreat. In the end, the rage begins to settle, and when it does, he collapses from his injuries, breathing heavily. Not quite so bad as last time, but ugly enough. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Between Vincent's mind-blasts and other enchantments, working in tandem with the best hunter-skirmishers a certain independent principality could offer, the infiltrators had been routed. As the heat of the battle began to subside, so did the throbbing in Vincent's cheek. He hadn't noticed the correlation at the start of the battle.

He helps tend to the wounded, with what minimal healing spells he knows, and carrying bodies and supplies as directed.

Svalin was breathing heavy and sweat matted her hair under her helm. Her armor was bloodstained, but none of it was hers. She had stayed atop the battlements, but some enemy forces had managed to find their way up there.

The battle was over, but other duties were just beginning. She ordered troops to dispose of the corpses of the enemy and to see to their own dead and wounded.

Then she went to check on her siblings, looking for her brother first.

	He's being carried off the field, obviously smiling, but too covered in blood and gore to make any sense of how bad the injuries are, but he seems to be conscious and moving this time, anyway - usually a good sign. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"This ist an all too familiar sight, brother," Svalin said when she caught up to him. She waved off one of the men helping to carry him and took the burden up herself. 	Asleif saw to the healing and welfare of those who had stood on the walls with her. Not exactly as terrible a battle as the last time she had been in Asgard, but ever a reminder of the dark threats they had to stand against. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

He shakes his head. "Where mine challenge wilt take me, there canst be little help. Most bear sarks, should they live that long, need go on one more hunt for a skin worthy of what they wilt become, and to consume the monster's heart. If they succeed, they wilt gain its strength and ferocity, and gain a vestment which wilt strike fear, and hold up to the battles to come. If they fail... well, there ist a bit less madness in the ranks. That hunt shalt come soon."
