You Pick Up The Pieces, and Put Things Back Together (backdated)
After Jennifer Kale had confirmed that Vincent's experiment was not the cause of the unusual situation, they'd moved on to the Sorcerer Supreme. After a cursory examination of Vincent and the magical imprint left upon him, Strange seemed oddly amused by the turn of events, considering it's rather benign tone overall.

"This cannot be allowed to stand indefinitely, however. I should be able to perform a spell of soul-mending, which should rectify the problem. We'll need the true cause of this, however..." He steps away from his fellow mages, and Kristoff, and conjures a portal.

"Quinn. Come here now. I have some questions for you." When an individual could raise as much trouble as that one could, it behooved Strange to keep a feeler out as to his location.

Halbjorn is definitely easy to find, both with mundane and magical senses. Subtlety is not one of his qualities.

"Oh? and what need hast thou of the Bear of Asgard?"

Vincent provides the extreme short-hand version of the magical incident.

"And thus we have an incredibly brutal and unchecked force on the loose, with only a small chance of survival to be expected in bringing him in."

A smile tugs at his lips.

"My childhood memories are dim, but I believe they are the sort of odds Asgardians cannot resist."

Unchecked force? Yeah, that sounds familiar in numerous ways. Its not the Hulk... but that rematch will have to wait for another day... and its damned close.

"Aye, thou hast my interest. This promises to be entertaining."

Vincent nods sagely. "I thought you might feel thusly. However, honor demands that I aid you in this to the fullest extent that my sorcery and science can. It was my.... component's fault that Titan was freed again."

He weaves a portal, preparing to send them both to Titan's location once he has a lock. "It is much to my liking to have the Bear-sark of Asgard at my side, rather than charging at me, this time in battle. In our proper bodies, no less."

The whole affair has been so aggravating that there seems no point in not throwing some dry humor on it now.

Vincent secures the portal and gestures to Halbjorn, donning his mage robes and summoning his more technical implements from the Baxter Building.

"For Midgard."

"For glory." he responds, before heading into the portal, drawing his axe.

This is going to be fun.

The pair return to the Hulkbusters' base and find it nearly in ruins. Titan has not been idle in Vincent's absence. They set upon him almost immediately after Vincent released him, trying their same tricks to weaken and beat him down.

This time, Titan is ready for them.

He's not sure how many men's bodies break under his hands, or how long he spends destroying their little facility, but by the time Titan decides his job is done, the place looks as though it were hit by several bombs at once. Metal and bodies are strewn about the flaming debris, and Titan turns to face his newest opponents.

The puny man has returned with someone Titan recognizes, if only a vague sense. Halbjorn's name escapes his tongue, but Titan understands a challenge when he sees one.

And he smiles.

Halbjorn grins back. The monster reminds him, obviously, of his last encounter with a green behemoth, truly a fight to be savored.

He salutes Titan with his axe. "No quarter. Blood enow hast been shed, unless thou wouldst try for mine." he challenges, moving forward resolutely.

"We just wish to help reunite you with Walters. You need each other, believe me." Vincent has his staff ready as well, but tries not to set things off himself.

Yes, being 'in the right' is important to him. Old news.

Titan looks between Hal and Vincent. Their words are nearly meaningless to him, but he understands, on some level, that they are trying to help him.

And that just makes him angrier.

"You...don't...get it." Titan rumbles, having difficulty forming the words. "Won't be...trapped...again..."

With that, Titan lunges at Hal, attempting to bodily tackle him.

As soon as Titan moves, Halbjorn is coming right back at him, fast. He's met the Hulk, strength for strength, rage for rage, he's certainly not going to back down here.

The collision is deafening, the bear-sark well acquainted with using leverage and wrestling technique in his brawling, and while he doesn't knock the behemoth down, he's not going anywhere either.

"If thou'rt going to rampage uncontrolled, then aye... thou wilt be bound." For now, anyway, he can at least still speak.

Two years ago, the collision might have given Vincent pause. Now, however, the increasingly familiar pounding in his mind resurfaces. A smile tugs at his features, before the seriousness of the task at hand sets in, and he quells it.

With combatants as durable as these, it would take his most powerful magics, short of those with lethal force, to even subdue either of them, and the line between the two brackets is a finer one than he cares to tread right now. He opts for a more tactical approach.

He strikes his staff into the ground three times, each time chanting the name of a rune inscribed upon its surface. He pours in his will, not to control the earth beneath him, but to align with it. The desert terrain beneath the two brawlers shifts, compressing beneath Halbjorn's feet to afford him more secure footing. Just as swiftly though, the ground beneath Titan becomes loose. Basic laws of conservation, drilled into Vincent by his scientific mentors, had always dictated that where one system gains, another must experience loss. He was simply making sure the 'loss' created by this spell happened in a certain spot, rather than spread across the surrounding ten miles, or on the other side of the world.

"There is a difference between being trapped and being whole..."

Titan's footing suffers, but he's been in situations with rolling and shifting terrain before. He aims an elbow at Halbjorn's face, even as he tries to move forward and push the Asgardian back.

He's going to have to do something about the puny magic man that reminds him of Walters, though.

The elbow hits, bloodying the Asgardian's face, but he's not shoved back. Instead, he aims a swing of his own at the behemoth's face in turn with one hand, trying to unbalance him enough to take a sweeping shot at a leg with his axe.

The earth spell already in motion, the ground turning to so much quicksand beneath Titan, Vincent turns to his strong suit.

Hercules, or at least an extremely convincing vision of him, appears along with Andy.

"My son, why dost thou rage so? You are altogether more righteous and splendid when whole!"

"Titan..." Andy pleads. "I don't know how to get along without you.."

The axe bites into Titan's thigh, and green blood spills upon the quicksand, angering and hurting Titan in equal measure. He roars in pain, realizing that he is sinking deeper into the ground.

His father's words cut him deeply, as Titan has always wondered if his father cared for Andy more than him. His head turns, slightly, to regard his father...

only to see Andy standing beside him.

If Hercules' words were any sort of balm to Titan's rage, Andy's presence and words are new coals upon the furnace of his hatred.

"YOU....ALWAYS KEEP ME HIDDEN! CHAINED UP! YOU SENT THEM TO KILL ME, LIAR!" Titan roars.

The Emerald Behemoth redoubles his efforts, grasping Halbjorn's axe wrist as purchase against his sinking and starts to pull himself out of Vincent's sand trap.

"I WON'T BE BURIED AGAIN!" he roars, attempting to headbutt Hal once, then again as the his green eyes cloud over in utter rage.

The axe is taken out of play by the grab, and the headbutt hits. As it does, and Halbjorn tastes his own blood, streaming from a broken nose, he roars back, the words and challenges gone as he headbutts the behemoth right back, the hand not being grasped grabbing for Titan's other wrist as bear-sark and monster meet, rage building in both.

The head-butt snaps Titan's head back, forcing him to shake his head to clear the cobwebs.

Titan roars in Hal's face, then lets go of Hal's axe-arm, attempting to punch him in the guts a pair of times.

Vincent swings around to keep Halbjorn's back facing him. No matter how strong Titan was, eyes were still essentially balls of water and tissue, that had to allow light in.

Light, in the proper patterns, could do amazing things. Kristoff had been very displeased when he found the research material Vincent had used for this spell, after the younger brother had snuck it in under the guise of a 'children's animated feature', which it was.

"Electric Soldier!" Blue and red flashes of light flood the terrain, as Vincent attempts to induce a seizure in his opponent.

The axe bites deep into Titan's shoulder, forcing the green behemoth to cry out in rage and frustration as emerald green blood oozes from the wound.

Titan isn't prone to seizures, but the lights do cause him to avert his eyes from his enemy and duck his head, keeping his attention off of Halbjorn and the struggle before him.

Ever so slightly, he gives a bit of ground against Hal's onslaught.

Halbjorn? No, Halbjorn isn't home anymore. He's every bit as much a beast, given in to the Madness, as the monster before him. And he will fight til one of them falls... and then probably til nothing else around them is moving. At least Vincent is likely well aware of this tendency and has some invisibility spells readied.

When Titan turns his head away, no quarter is given. He digs the axe in to keep his foe from retreating too far, and swings his other fist at the behemoth's face again and again with savage abandon, entirely unaware, for the moment, of how much magical assistance he's receiving.

Titan won't remember this later, which is probably best for his ego. He hates giving into the blood rage, hates being unable to control himself like right now. The axe finds its home in his shoulder and, despite his best efforts and his healing, Titan has lost a great deal of blood.

Combined with the other injuries he's sustained and the pain he's already endured, he finds blackness creeping up on the edge of his vision.

His mangled leg buckles under him, leaving him vulnerable to the sledgehammer blows that rain down from the son of Thor. Over and over he's struck, unable to cover or duck, until finally, the last one snaps his head to one side, rendering him unconscious.

Titan's prone form lies motionless upon the ground.

And that would be Vincent's cue. His best invisibility spells go into effect, and he moves to make contact with Titan as well, intent upon teleporting both of them back to the Sanctum.

It is likely for the best to give Halbjorn a moment to breathe, although he'll be returning with help as soon as possible to help with any possible medical aid.
