The wedding
Glum, one of the attendants of Frigga, officiated the ceremony to wed Svalin and Vernique. Friends, family and teammates were in attendance in the lush gardens outside of Fensalir, Frigga's hall. The trees were burdened with blossoms and spring flowers were in bloom.
Svalin stood across from Vernique with Halbjorn at her side. She wore her armor and Vigfrior hung at her side in the shape of a hammer. Vernique was in an elegant dress and wore her hair loose adorned with a few flowers. Asleif and Aridis stood at Vernique's side as bridesmaids.
Glum removed the hlaut-teinn, a fir branch, from a bowl on the small altar and sprinkled blood of a sacrificed goat on the wedding party. The sword that had been at her Svalin's side had been given to Vernique to be held in trust for their son. Vernique had given her a sword, a gift to her father from Silver Sable, signifying that she trusted Svalin to protect her and their child.
Svalin smiled as she offered a ring on the hilt of her new sword. Svalin smiled as she lifted the ring off the sword and placed it on Vernique's hand.
