Sigurdur takes a spoon to the vanilla ice cream and tastes some for himself. He does note that it is pretty sweet. While he likes the texture and sweetness, Sigurdur knows that he will never eat more than a bit of ice cream at a time.
"This...ist very good, though I canst appreciate Halbjorn's judgment of this delicacy. And Midgard's other treats are sweeter than this?" he asks, wondering how the humans managed to live with such sweetmeats.
