Svalin was stretched out on one of the large couches in the rec room of the main building and was trying hard to enjoy sitting still. Her feet and ankles had started to swell and her wife wasn't going to let her do much besides sit and put her feet up as much as she could. Svalin had tried to argue but it didn't get her anywhere except sitting on the couch with her feet up.

She sighed and looked at the television. To Kill a Mockingbird was on and Svalin was still waiting for the killing to start. Why was kill in the title if there was no killing in it? It didn't make much sense to her, but it was one of her wife's favorite movies and Svalin would watch it.

Svalin focused on the television and was surprised by the sudden kick. She gasped and reflexively put her hand on her stomach.

	"Hey, I thought the whole turnin' into mist stuff was just in the movies!" Titan yells, slamming his hands together at the mist to displace the air and push them back. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The move worked and the mist was blown back away from them. The mist condensed and shifted into the form of bats. The bats flew at Marlow and Titan. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Oh.... wow, look at that!" Marlow dropped her stick, held both hands out and spoke another spell for fire. She made a tossing motion out and a fiery net appeared in front of them. She tried to gauge the net to catch or slow down the bats, but she was afraid the holes might be too big. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Magic Fire = BAD! Titan has to get some space between him and that net of fire, because he and magic don't mix. Titan and Magic Babe were just fine, though. He attempts to catch any bat-stragglers so that they don't get to her or any civilians. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The bats are initially snared by the net, but after a little struggling on their part they are able to slip through a few holes. Though there were smoking. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The smoking little divebombers made Marlow duck behind Titan so he could catch and squish them. She caught sight of somebody on the sidelines holding an object out and bouncing excitedly. For a moment she thought that someone, someone /normal/ was finally offering some sort of help even though there was little he could do, but a moment of watching longer made her realize it wasn't that at all. He was videoing their fight instead of getting off the streets!

"Get them," she called over her shoulder to Titan. "We need to move on and find more!"

	Titan tries to catch the sneaky little bastards to smash them, swatting at them like so many overgrown flies. However, when Marlow speaks to him, Titan looks in the direction she indicates. "HEY! RUN YOU IDIOTS!" Titan yells. When that doesn't work, he lets loose a bloodcurdling roar in their direction, hoping that will scare them off. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Titan brings a massive fist down upon one of the vampires attacking him, and tosses the other away as best he can, before turning to Marlow. "Let. Her. Go." Titan growls, fury building in his big, green eyes. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
