America... so-called Land of Freedom, home to more super-humans than just about anywhere else in the world, whose New York City had been blown up or destroyed so many times it wasn't even remotely funny. Home to the Avengers, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four... and the Genoshan Consulate. The Grandson, her best friend Gio, and Gio's twerpy little brother (and apparently some other guy too, but no one terribly important).

The same place to which Rikki was now being assigned. Something about "learning to live among the Flatscans" or something like that. She hadn't particularly been listening. She was a good soldier. She went where she was told, hit who she was told to hit, and, well, okay, she asked questions. Usually loudly and angrily and sometimes punctuated by punching holes in things.

The plane ride (with several connections) had been almost unendurable. Certainly not that she was afraid of flying, but it had been far too long.

She was glad to be out. And gladder still to see Gio.

Even in this Magnus forsaken Flatscan infested country.

There's something reassuring in knowing you'll never be one of those people arguing with her best friend about a boy. Rikki always saw the Heir first and the young man ....probably third or fourth, knowing her.

"Yes," she said, smiling to Andrew. "She's hear for hte 'learning experience.' And besides, if we're going to be eventually picking up our public profile, it won't hurt to have extra capacity to defend ourselves." Someone who wasn't an energy time bomb. Or Angelo.

	That was definitely an accurate assessment, as far as Rikki's perceptions of Andrew went. Simple arithmetic, really. "I'm sure whatever you plan, it will be a success," she told Andrew. "And if you need it, just point me in the right direction and I'll kick ass." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Some, but I hadn't really had a chance to get into all the details." Just a few basics about stepping up their profile and the fact that they were struggling against a public image where it's okay to compare Magneto to Hitler -- something a Daddy's Girl like Gio and a Momma's Girl like Rikki could be horrified at together. Rikki already knew Andrew wasn't exactly his grandfather.

	Rikki nodded. "I..." she hesitated for a moment, finding the right words. "The goals are big," she settled for. "Hard to reach even under ideal circumstances. Not... going to be easy." She frowned for the briefest moment. "Respectfully... it's a pretty optimistic plan." Not... exactly judgemental there. She wouldn't presume to second guess Andrew, but still...
