Nell glanced down at her wrist and lifted it a bit, the light catching the metal and stones. It was obvious that it was old.
"It was a birthday gift from a friend of my mother's. I think it came from a pirate's shipwreck, but Switchblade Pete doesn't tell his secrets. Other than it carries 'special gifts' for the wearer. If that means compliments received when wearing it, definitely true."
