The sun was starting to sink on the Western horizon and into the Pacific Ocean as another day was ending. A few miles south of 1800 Palos Verdes Drive the ground erupted in a spray of dirt. One by one soldiers came forth from the ground. Some were Spartans, some were Roman legionnaires, and some were Norsemen. A total of three thousand eventually stood in the dying light. They moved into formation and started marching.

	"He ist gravely wounded, sister. He need thine skills," Svalin said as she continued to hold the cloth on Halbjorn's stomach wound. "He hath lost a lot of blood." 	It's not something most people would notice, but the briefest flicker of something crossed Asleif's face when she realized just how injured Halbjorn was. "Remindest me to invest in ear protect e'er that happens," she said, before beginning to get to work. She waved her hands and produced a onyx-colored goblet of steaming liquid. 	He nods, reaching up with his one good arm, once Svalin props him up on some of the wreckage from the battle. "On the morrow. Tis no good to let a battle go too long cold before drinking to it." he replies, sipping from the goblet. Asleif's face briefly betrayed just how exhausted she was. Her own actual injuries were minor, the benefits of being primarily a long-ranged fighter, but she had tapped deep into her personal stores to fuel her spells.

"Aye. All will recover, given time."

Her cursed thoughts betrayed her and worked their way to her lips. "The mortals? How fared they?" And the small mortal...?

	"Of course thou wert referring to Lady Sydney," Svalin said now completely amused. "All-Father forbid thy hath affection for a mortal." Svalin paused tying the strips of cloth together to be able to bind her wounds and started removing the arrows from her brother now that the wounds had stopped bleeding.
