Mea Culpa
Guilt had been eating at Tessa since the moment Misha and David had kissed pavement. In the past few days it had gotten worse. She couldn't stop thinking about how it was her fault they were locked in the small cells in the Weapon X facility. She had been monitoring the two Logan boys from her computer through the security feeds. She had to be discreet otherwise Nicholas...there was no telling what Nicholas would do.

He suspected Tessa of getting too close to Misha and he was right. Otherwise she wouldn't have had the pit guilt had created in her stomach.

She watched them in their cells. The small rooms were barely big enough to walk ten steps in any direction. Three of the walls were painted a bright white and the front was the hardest plexiglass. The cells were soundproof and the boys were next to each other so they couldn't see each other. They were fed barely enough to stay alive and sleeping in any quantity was not permitted.

Ezra Kane, the director of Weapon X, had been overseeing their progress and had seemed pleased with it.

Tessa wasn't going to go down there, but Nicholas was out on a mission and Kane was in Washington and this would be the only opportunity she had. Crosshairs and Spectre didn't care anything about their guests and ignored them.

She made her way down to the cells and stopped in front of Misha's. That pit in her stomach grew.

Tessa sat in a corner of the cell with her arms wrapped around her legs and her knees pulled up to her chest. When the lights came back on a deep sigh of relief escaped her and she reined her powers back in. The terror was over and she slowly brought her breathing down to a more normal rate.

Fury raged inside of her and if she ever got the chance, she'd kill that bastard.

Misha didn't notice the lights come on from his position under the cot where he'd rolled after falling off in the terror fit. His first clue that whatever Tessa had done to them was over when his breathing eased and the nightmare receded. She'd done this to him outside the museum. This time must've been revenge for her getting tossed in another cell.

He moved out slowly, working stiff and knotted muscles that had tightened painfully through the ordeal. This time he didn't look over at the other cell. He could care less about the other cell.

David is on his feet shortly. His head is swimming with emotions and none of them are very peachy keen.

He misses Misha terribly. He misses being outside and free too. He would be happy to be in class or something right now.

Finally he gives up on being quite.Maybe Misha is near enough to hear him. He just needs to know his older brother is okay. He cups his hand to his mouth. "Hey! Can anyone hear me?"

Tessa sat huddled in the corner and started crying.

With the soundproofing, Misha couldn't hear David call. If he could, he might have gone a little crazy, accessed the berserker part of the Logan nature and ripped something up. As it was, he sat on the floor with his back against the cot and leaned his head back.

David didn't really think about the fact that there was sound proofing,. He wanted someone to hear him. He was tired of being quite.

Him making noise lasted for a few minutes before he sat back down. He was angry now and knew how foolish it was to waste energy when it wouldn't do anything. It hadn't done any good to pace or twiddle his thumbs before either.

He would just wait.
