This was the second time Shinsuke had been to this building. The first was in the guise of a deliveryman in which he had dropped off the ancient Yashida calligraphy set that Keiji wished to be given to Amiko Kobayashi. Now he was here on an entirely different chore. He was certain he had evaded pursuit for the moment, but not for long. He had to act quickly. He knew he could not simply enter, given the place's security. So he forced himself to be patient and wait outside, hoping to get a glimpse of the woman.

"I do have a plan. It's risky, but I believe it's our only course of action. Keiji must seek asylum from another Hand Lord. One in opposition to those pursuing him." Shinsuke frowns a bit at Amiko's assessment. "He can shield most of his internal organs that way, but he has several disadvantages compared to those of your father's bloodline. He has no ability to heal quickly, any cut remains so unless treated. Plus his claws," Shinsuke lifts a hand gently, showing Amiko and Misha the ugly scars that covered the tips. "They are not a natural mutation. It was something he pushed his abilities to do. The inside of him compensates for his boneshifitng, the outside does not. He's in a constant state of pain, but he's become good at hiding it."

	Amiko looks. "Oh, that dear little fool," she say softly, then clears her throat. "I see." Then, in English, to Misha. "So, the news is --besides Keiji's being an overcommitted workaholic, but we sort of guessed that already -- that their apparent plan is to switch times in the same league. Shinsuke nods. "Agreed. Do you have an idea of how we can transport him out of here? Yukimure or Hidetaka alone have formidable forces, but both together..." Shinsuke shook his head. "With respect, I don't think the two of you would be enough to keep them back."

"Three of us." Keiji groans as he wakes, trying to sit up.

"No, damn it. You are in no state to fight anymore until you heal." Shinsuke looks to Amiko for support.

	For a moment, Keiji looks compelled to argue, but he takes a brief glance at Amiko. For the briefest of a second, a bit of a smile is on his face. "Well..I certainly wouldn't want that." He lays his head back down, though he's now fully conscious. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Amiko smiles back. She gestures dramatically. "Yes, he can be taught!" she declares, in English. "If we have to discreetly use BH6 resources to get him out, I trust the others to support me. We definitely can't let him be arrested; as much as we try to reform the prison system, the Hand can always get people in." She grins. "Or we could just put him in a good flightcoat and you could carry him, Misha."

	Keiji seems to visibly blanch at that. Shinsuke chuckles until Keiji shot him a look. The old man wasn't intimidated, but he stopped snickering. "I..do not do so well with..heights." Keiji is desperately trying to fight his embarrassment. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Amiko's face is just a little bit awww. "He wouldn't drop you. Especially not when, having saved your hide, we have something of an interest in it. But we'll make that Plan B for the moment. "Very well. You've done much for me. I do wish to mock your efforts by hindering them." Keiji looked pensive for a moment. "I am confused however. Why is Ashikabe himself after me?"

"The current jonin." Shinsuke clarifies to Amiko and Misha. "Since the recent turmoil in the Hand, the jonin is little more than a senior warlord who can sometimes convince his fellows to follow his lead. He doesn't truly rule the Hand though. It is only through his reputation and seniority that he can compel such diverse figures as Hidetaka and Yukimura."

	"Lord Junichiro Nagatomi. He was my direct superior until he passed away a week ago. He believed in trying to reunite the disparate factions of the Hand, and often answered to the jonin as a means of trying to create a sense of unity. When he died, Ashikabe became my new patron. 	"There is another factor I believe is significant. Ashikabe is very old and knows more abut the Hand than any human being. He literally started at the bottom and did any number of things to attain his place of prominence. He knows where all the bodies are buried, if you catch my meaning."
