But It's My Day Off!
It pained him to admit it, but Vincent had been somewhat remiss lately. In spite of their decision to date one another exclusively, he'd hardly been able to make any time for Asleif. It wasn't as if she'd been hounding him for it, as she seemed thoroughly absorbed in her world travels, but it bothered him, and rightfully so.

A painstakingly thorough clearing of his schedule for a day had been arranged, along with putting together an itinerary of things to do together. He'd even gone the extra mile and asked MacKenzie the favor of being on standby for any F4 related emergencies in his stead (with a caveat that if magic was involved, he should be contacted immediately).

And so, crafting the most precise veil he knew how to, he will slip up behind the object of his affections as she thinks she is off and alone.

"My lady." Comes a whisper over her shoulder, as he manages to keep the tone soft in spite of his grin.

	He grins. "Now that, my lady, presents a delightful option for the day." He chews his food slowly, looking her over quite thoroughly, clearly forming an image of something most pleasant in his mind. 	"Allow me to elaborate." Vincent said, just as their feet were beginning to find sand beneath them. He turned and placed his hands on her hips. "Be very still." He leaned in and kissed her, as his fingers drew patterns on her clothing, which soon glowed to life. In moments, they were each dressed in clothing more appropriate to the beach. 	Well, this was... different. Asleif could not recall a single instance of being quite this unclothed in public before. It did, she would admit, serve the purpose of making them more inconspicuous. Vincent looks ready to murder someone with an icepick as a volcano, an honest-to-goodness volcano, rises up a few hundred feet offshore. Some sort of shuttle-craft seems to be circling it, a familiar woman hanging out the door with a camera in hand, as a loudspeaker blares.

"As you can see, prospective buyers, the A.I.M. Portable Magma Induction Array will let you rewrite the landscape wherever you please, with that perfect measure of shock and awe that ballistics cannot match and none of the nasty clean-up of radiation or chemicals."

Vincent's jaw locks as he recognizes the figure('s figure), even at a distance.

	Vincent manages to form a coherent sentence, after a few false starts. "Asleif, I am going to turn my gaze away from you and evacuate any endangered civilians. "A.I.M is apparently shooting an infomercial. They've raised a volcano off the coast of Rio de Janeiro. I'm evacuating people, but I need a resolution to the technology itself while Asleif runs offensive duties against the operatives."

Vincent feels no need to tell Kristoff about everything else that had gone wrong. Not now anyway. Peach brandy and banitsa may be necessary before that can be laughed over.

The woman grabbed the frog and placed it in a utility pouch. She'd figure out how to retrieve the archived footage later. Another camera came flitting out from the craft.

"Plenty of time." She reached into her backpack and then hurled herself off the platform, swinging what looked like a plain oak staff at Asleif. If there were time for closer inspection, minute markings would be identified. A Banal Stave; used in ancient Greece for keeping powerful beings of mixed blood in line. Intended for your average demi-god, but a mixture of Aesir and Jotun would probably fare just as poorly against it.

Though she was not as predisposed to physical combat as, say, her siblings, Asleif was more than confident in her ability to deal with anything that a mortal could dish out. She barely even bothered to raise a hand to block...

And that was her mistake. Arrogance, as always, was her error.

The blow knocked her back, and out of her air-walking, sending her crashing to the waves below.

In point of truth, it was worse than that. If things had been otherwise, she would have been fine. But Asgardians were far more dense than mortals... and worse... she did not know how to swim.

Panic overtook her, preventing her from casting a lifesaving spell...
