History Lesson
Gio called both Rikki and Sengai into the workout room. She was in her workout clothes, but had her laptop and a little projector.

"I think there's something I need to cover with both of you."

	She was quick and recovered quickly. The blow rocked his head back. That hurt like hell, but that just made it interesting. Sengai cracked his neck, and smiled a bit. And then launched into a rapid series of high and low punches, trying to keep Rikki from deducing a pattern. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	He's got style, she'll give him that. She's always relied more on pure, overwhelming brute force, and that's usually been enough. Gio'd been just about the only person who could knock her on her ass. She blocks what she can, takes what blows she could, and tries to sneak in some body blows of her own. Rather than relying on speed, she uses her durability to take what she can and dodge those she can't in order to fin an opening. This thought was proven as a fist slammed into his stomach. He gasped, but didn't allow it to slow him down long. He quickly changed tactics, dropping down with an attempted sweep kicks to Rikki's legs in an attempt to take her feet out from under her.

	Even though she went down, Rikki couldn't help but actually smile. She hadn't had a good fight like this in a long time. She pushed back up, bringing her feet up to kick at his chest. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

He hadn't expected such a quick recovery. She was faster than he thought. He feet collided with his chest, sending Sengai to the ground himself. He was down for a moment, but with a kip-up brought himself back to his feet. By the time he was back up, so was she.

He allowed himself a smile. "Very impressive, Ms. Cargill." He was already moving into a defensive posture as he spoke.

If not for that brief break, he may not have reacted fast enough to that attack. However it was enough. He went to dodge the feint, but upon realizing the real attack, his hand shot up to catch her fist in his hand. Gods she was strong! His arm practically numbed a little from the impact. Hoping to keep right arm occupied, he launched a kick in an attempt to gain an opening at her open side.

	If Rikki has a flaw (and you can just keep quiet Gio with the comments about fanaticism, human hating, and anger issues), it's that she doesn't know when to give up. Tied up with trying to force past his grip, she takes the blow hard on her side. She gasps for air, crumpling down to her knees, but doesn't cry out. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Sengai moves a few steps forward, ready to resume..but couldn't. She looked so vulnerable like that. He knew she was a warrior, but.. "I'm spent," Sengai said to Gio. He would try and allow Rikki her pride. "I'm just as likely to hurt myself at this rate. I cannot even feel my arm. May I take a break, Gio?" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Thank Gio," Sengai said before turning to Rikki. "Well fought Rikki. Perhaps when I am in better condition I can properly beat you. Or perhaps 'my ass will be yours'. She'd never admit it, of course, but this had been one of the toughest matches Rikki had ever been in. And if Sengai was still standing after the pounding she gave him... well... he might just be pretty tough after all.

"Not...too bad yourself," she said to Sengai, before he left.

Once he did, however, she let out the breath she'd been holding, getting unsteadily back up, grimacing once. "Damn..."
