She grits her teeth. "I know... I've got plans in place for if it becomes an issue. She's much nicer than I was anyway, so I'm more concerned about how it would effect her.
They never did anything 'wrong', they just.. faded out. Still went to any school events. Still made sure I got new clothes each season and observed my birthdays, but it felt.. hollow. My mother didn't wish me sweet dreams anymore. My father didn't call me 'princess' ever again.
They were keeping up appearances, more than parenting."
She shrugs at the notion of it affecting her. "I try not to look back. Everything that's happened in my life has lead me to where I am now, and that's not such a bad deal. I can't change it, so I'm just trying to learn from it."
