The Iron Dragon and the Devil's Bounty Hunter
It had been ten years since Rose had last seen America. She had been in a celestial city for all that time. She had been a warrior in training for eight of those years. For two years she had been seen as a warrior.

She had been respected. Then she had been told of a possibility for her future and that she could return to Earth now. Ignoring something that may be she focused on leaving.

Then on getting to America.

That was how she had found out about this cult. And the girl that was going to be killed to bring fourth a dark power. She couldn't let that happen.

So she got inside and waited. Waited for something to happen so she could free the girl and used her chi to mask her aura. She couldn't let them know she was actually one of the good guys. Not until the girl was free.

And suddenly it becomes obvious that she will have help. That shouldn't have her smiling this much but given the fact she knows she might not be able to take them all on at once she is strangely okay with this.

There's the roar of an engine. The Ghost Rider is not stealthy. He does not care about hostages or innocents - such as the kidnapped girl.

He's here to punish the guilty, and this cult has gotten itself on his radar while he was out on a cross-country ride.

Not long after the howl of he wicked engines, firelight flickers in the distance. Its coming... and its coming fast, the Rider driven inexorably towards his targets.

	She didn't know what that meant. But she heard the priests getting riled up. Acolytes went running for weapons. She checked the inside of her robe and was grateful to find a knife f she needed it. 	They bar the way. It doesn't matter. The door explodes in a wash of shrapnel and hellfire, and the demon bike crashes through the remains. "Mandel Fahrouk!" calls the otherworldly voice, naming the cult leader. "You have been judged guilty. Come forth, and these others might be spared." There is no other warning. 	"No! I refuse! St-Stop him," cries out the disfigured cult leader. And now Rose stops hiding who she is. The robe covering her K'un-L'un wear is tossed aside and Rose strikes. The bike rushes forward, its rider freeing his hands, one sending a gout of hellfire at one cultist, while whirling a flaming, barbed chain with the other hand, ending up entangling someone's ankle, then whirling it again, using the captive like the business end of a ball and chain into a mass of his companions.

"You cannot escape Vengeance!"

Rose is ignored, as is the girl. He's not here to help them.

	Rose knew there would be no help. So she throws all of her skill into the fight. "No! I refuse to go down like this." He grabs a close by attendant then plunges a dagger into the man's heart. He calls up the blood and lashes out with power. It shouldn't be enough but tendrils of black magic fueled by blood and death strike out at Ghost Rider. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Ghost Rider is, at least, drawing most of the cultist attention off of Rose. Its not perfect, but she was bought at least a little room to move. The tendril knocks him off his bike, letting the vehicle go crashing into the wall while the Rider struggles with the grip. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The cult leader continues to attack Ghost Rider with his magic. Some cultists are fleeing now though. Others are attacking Ghost Rider. A few try to stop Rose but she is just too fast and too strong. She does though get stabbed in one thigh and staggers to a knee. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

He notices the girl. She... is not free of sin, but not one of them.

He might be able to fight his way free, he might not. Vexing.

Nick fights his way up in the Rider's brain - the voice is still otherworldly, but the 'demon' is at least willing to bargain.

"If I free you from these hordes, will you stop the spell?" he growls her direction, as he tears at one of the tendrils.

	Rose sees it as the best way to free the innocent here. So she nods. "Yes. I will do what is necessary to free you, Demon Rider. My goal and yours are on a similar path," Rose agrees. She isn't here to kill though. Just to stop them and save an innocent. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Very well." The bike roars to life, wheels lighting again. It tears into the cultists assaulting Rose from one side, while the chain lashes at those on the other side like it had a mind of its own,, clearing a path for her while the Rider focuses on doing what he must to complete his mission. 	She throws a 'flame' of chi at the cult leader. It strikes him in the face startling him and the magic sizzles back. And then she leaps into a kick. He sees starts as she delivers several sharp punches and his focus is lost. The magic has faded. He tries to stab her but she is out of his way again. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The man screams in fear. Rose tunes him out as she frees the girl. The girl is sobbing in fear. Rose just smiles sadly. "It'll be okay. You're an innocent. I'll get you out of here, I promise." And then decks a cultist who tries sneaking up on her. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The Rider grabs the man's collar, and looks into his eyes. He sees the man's sins even as the cultist does, and then plunges him into a never ending cycle of them.

A few moments later, he drops the almost lifeless body, to do little more ever again than twitch and scream.

With a lifted hand, a ball of fire streaks towards the nearest group of cultists, who are quickly losing the heart for this.

The Rider calls for his bike - but instead of retreating, stops in front of the girls.

"You are owed a debt. Get on."

	Rose considers this. She has done what is needed. "I can not leave the girl here. She is a true innocent, they needed someone without sin for their ritual. I will not see her harmed by them in retribution for what has happened today," Rose informs him seriously. This might be dangerous but she feels no fear for herself. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The Rider walks towards them, the cultists backing away. Those who still can. "Both of you, get on. She will be unable to make the long walk." he agrees. Saving the innocent doesn't make a dent. 	"Hospital," Rose decides. "They will help her." She gets on the motorcycle, assisting the girl who sags weakly against Rose. Rose checks the girl's pulse and sighs. The civilian is not in good shape. There is little she can do though. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	There's little the Rider could do, even if he wished to... but he can get her to the hospital quickly, at least. They tear across the open ground, building up more and more speed. Into the nearest city. Up buildings, down the other side, a straight line, as quick as possible. He pays his debts.... as long as Rose holds on tight, and holds onto the girl. 	Rose holds onto both the girl and the bike. She can feel the girl's fear and does what she can to soothe her. Comfort is needed after all. But little else can be done until they reach a hospital. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Help her," Rose half orders a nervous young doctor. "She has been held by a cult. I suspect they drugged her. Her life force is weal." 	He really wouldn't care that much. But this might be considered part of the debt. And the demon and Nick are internally arguing a little. Besides, its easy - they're disconcerted by his presence. 	The doctors move much more quickly this time. They get a stretcher and start getting the girl inside. An older doctor has pushed his way in examining the girl with a critical eye. Then cusses vividly and snaps orders lie a General. Rose peered up at the demon. "Thank you. I could feel her life force fading. They might save her." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
