Sarah is tired. Dead tired.
She was hurt and exhausted from fighting the Hulk, then Apocalypse when she showed up between these two worlds. She was still feeling the loss of a teammate - and then, it was only the beginning.
Mongul, the Titans of myth, Apocalypse again, the Masters of Evil, the Abomination, those zombies with the Black Rings, Temujin... and so many others.
Tasha had died saving them. And then... so many others. People she'd called friends. People from the Exiles team she's been leading, people from Anya's world, people from that other... horrible deaths, pointless losses, sacrificed to Kang's lust for power.
As they appear in Asgard, though, she feels a shock of energy from Mjolnir - the weapon returned home.
She takes the shield off her back - the sign of her Legacy. She was a Rogers... never surrender, never.
She raises the hammer before those gathered, these new Exiles... the last of their worlds.
"The Tallus says - this is the end. This is the battle for everything. Asgard truly does stand between the worlds... and the end. If Asgard falls, Kang wins. I know you've all lost friends, family, loved ones, lovers... I know everyone is hurt, some of you badly. I know everyone is tired. I know you've all been through a lot.
And I ask you to follow me one more time. I am not of this world, either of them. But I will give my life if need be to protect them. And... I know something, thanks to the Tallus, that Kang doesn't.
He's severed this place from the timelines. He thinks he's won a world to shape history any way he wants, to rule... but what he's done is backed himself into a corner. There's nowhere for him to go. For once, he can't teleport away. If he dies here... this plot ends, and these worlds are stable. We may not be able to make everything the way it was... I won't lie to you.
Kang may have done irreparable damage. Some things may never be recovered... and if that's the case... you'll never know the difference. If you still exist at all... you'll remember just one history. But your worlds will exist, and be stable... and Kang can be defeated, maybe for the last time.
If that's enough for everyone who has suffered and lost so much... if you will follow me down Exiles Road, one last time, I'll lead you."
She raises the Hammer, calling down the lightning. She never thought she'd say this - but not everyone here knows the Avengers, and, given that this may be Ragnarok, only one thing seems appropriate.
FOR ASGARD!"
