The way was cleared just enough. El is tough, and has her power going for her, and Kelly heals - but given how torn up they are, it looks like they've had to fight their way out. Anya is almost untouched - looks like Kelly has been shielding her with her body here and there, judging by both of them.
In fact, Anya's only real "wound" is a Kelly-shaped/sized handprint on her butt. Oops, wonder how that happened?
The pair burst out into the room Bea and Sarita have been holding for them, with a naked readhead slung over Kelly's shoulder.
"There's several dozen very angry giant clay soldiers right down the hall, a bunch of lizard... things behind them... and a timed explosion is about to go off. We might want to, you know, run!"
