Harbinger of Things To Come
The small ship raced across the black expanse of space. The engines were barely functioning and life support was minimal. The ship had taken heavy fire when it launched from the Shi'ar throneworld. There were parties on the planet interested in seeing that ship not reach its destination.

The pilot urged the ship on as if the ship was flying on sheer willpower alone. The message he carried was most urgent and it had to be delivered. The fate of many, perhaps millions, rested on this message. He had to make it and the message had to be delivered.

The ship drew closer to Knowhere Station. It wasn't Earth as the pilot had intended, but maybe someone there could carry the message to His Imperial Highness Prince Starbridge Nermani. He just had to get there! The engines whined and strained, but they kept working.

"Just a little more," the pilot said as the ship drew closer to Knowhere.
