Anya took advantage of being in New York and the Avengers' Mansion to make a killer sundae. Nothing beat the sundaes one could make in the kitchen of the Avengers' Mansion. They were stuff of legends. Sitting at the breakfast counter in the kitchen with Jarvis putting around brought back many good memories. She had spent many afternoons in the kitchen just like she was now while she was growing up. Dad would be working and Mom would be out on a mission and that usually left her in the mansion with Jarvis after school.

He was like another parent to her. Mom and Dad were in an out all of the time, but Jarvis was always there. He always had treats for her. Whether it was cookies, ice cream or little bits of chocolate there was always a treat for her. While she had her treat Jarvis would tell her stories of the Avengers and of her Dad when he was her age. It was always the perfect way to spend the afternoon.

Today she had made her own sundae, but Jarvis as always was there and she listened to him tell a story as she ate her sundae. She had heard them all a million times and she would never tire of them. There were a million and one things she had on her plate, but this afternoon there would be no work. Even Starks had to take time off once in awhile. Monday was full of meetings in New York and then Tuesday morning she would be on her way to Genosha.

"I do not. I've been eating! In fact I've been eating more cause I've been doing nothing but traveling and room service and eating out is great. I've barely been in the lab."

Anya slid off her stool and went to get Toni's favorite ice cream out of the freezer. All the toppings were still out on the counter.

"Speaking of which, I leave tomorrow night for another trip. I think I've been around the world a few times in the past few months."

"So the people of the country are to suffer because of their leader? Would it not be better for them to have access to the technology on our terms rather than have them steal it, you know it will happen, and do what they want with it?"

These were some of the points she had discussed with her father at great lengths when zero point energy was first developed and again when Anya told him about her ideas for Genosha.

"Fossil fuels or nuclear power," Anya said. "The goal is to get the world, the /whole/ world, off of fossil fuels. Genosha's a good place to start. It's mostly self contained and the people are at a technological level to be able to understand it and implement it."

She looked at her best friend.

"I'm quite surprised by this reaction from you," she admitted. "Not that I expected a good reaction, but this is quite hostile. Yes, Magneto has given the world problems at times, I'm not denying that, but changing the world has to start somewhere. Our own government is just as likely to turn this technology into weapons. Hell, /every/ day I get a call from someone in the government or the military asking me to reconsider the issue of weaponizing this technology. They're no better than Magneto and don't even think that our political leaders are any better than Buckethead. They're not."

Toni crossed her arms. "But the point remains, they're not hurting for it."

She fixed Anya with a stare. "And I'm surprised that you're doing it in the first place. Seriously. There's a ton of US allies you could have gone for first. Or even plenty of other countries not run by some lunatic terrorist. And this is a man whose tried to conquer the world and exterminate humanity. I can't believe I'm evening having to explain why this is a bad thing."

"How many times has that happened in our lifetime? Huh? How many? Do you honestly believe that people can't change? Sure, he may have not changed and is just waiting to make his next move, but would you let a people be punished for something that may or may not happen? Would you deny them something that the rest of the world has access to? Would you deny them a chance to better their lives? Would you deny them jobs that could be created from this technology?"
