It shouldn't have to be hard. Just a 'Sir, this is Keiji. Keiji, this is my father, Logan.' Not hard.

Amiko reminded herself that again and then took a breath.

"He'll be here soon. Don't worry. Everything will turn out basically okay. And we'll all talk for a while, and then eventually, he and I will go out to the shrine together, and you can relax again."

Keiji was with him up until the comment about letting Misha have him. Keiji's eye visibly twitched. His life had been hell, but if it had done anything, it was turning him into one of the deadliest men on the planet.He did not care for someone implying..he takes several breaths.

"I am no one's victim. Yours..or your son's. You clearly value his skills highly, but do not insult the years of my life I spent going through that hellish training. I don't know what he's gone through, and you don't have a damn clue what I'm truly capable of."

"Now ya stopped thinkin' again. I'm not insultin' anybody or their skills, an' don't you ever think you know what yer up against with me." Logan's voice was still the same calm tone he'd started with. "That's a mistake. When you come out of the other side of this hell yer fightin', what'll be worth it are the people waitin' for ya. If somebody takes one, like you did my boy, you'll know what I'm talkin' about. I'm not yer enemy. Say a prayer an' tell Amiko there's no blood shed today."

He takes several calming breathes. The urge to scream "I know more than you think!" was strong. Part of him wanted to demand If Misha was so important, why didn't you come to Japan and face me!?" But..he promised Amiko. And that overrode everything else. The look he shoots Logan is something between anger and grudging respect as he goes to the door.

"Amiko-chan, you can come in now."

And Amiko comes in with the tea, smiling gratefully that the both seem... reasonably calm.

"Hello. Please sit, both of you. I'll serve."

In comparison to someone whose traditional training had continued past childhood, and especially the late Lady Mariko, Amiko is not extremely good at serving tea. But she tries hard, and she's not as lousy as she thinks she is, and she's sincerely glad to be able to have tea with them both.

"I checked the police reports near the shrine," she tells her father conversationally. "There's no signs of a stakeout, so it's possible we won't have any surprises this year."

	Keiji smiles fondly at her as he accepts his tea. He really didn't know how to contribute to the conversation. He knew they spoke of Amiko's mother, the Lady Mariko. Being a former Hand assassin..he felt he didn't really have the right to speak of her in their presence. So he sipped appreciatively at his tea as Amiko spoke to her father. Logan listened carefully while he drank the tea she worked so hard over, nodding as she related her team's recent exploits. He smiled on occasion, and laughed quietly when Grogg entered the conversation. He fully understood the role she played in BH6 and no one would ever say he wasn't proud of everything she'd accomplished.

"Sounds like you got it all under control."

	"What in..!?" Keiji darted to his feet. At the sight of the ogres, his teeth practically gnashed. The claws start o push out from his fingers. "This..is not.." he walks steadily toward the pair. 	Logan took another sip of his tea before he set the cup down and moved to his feet. It would be interesting to hear how ogres managed to get into the BH6 headquarters without anybody being aware of it before this second, especially seeing how they were interesting in rough housing with each other instead of attacking. 	The ogre's push send Keiji back a little. It literally takes every ounce of self-control he has not to fling himself at the behemoth that pushed him. He looks over at Amiko, using her image as a means to calm himself. It was working..somewhat. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
