Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow (Defenders)
Christmas. Yule. Saturnalia. Dies Natalis Solis Invicti. Many cultures have celebrated and still celebrate a winter festival. There have been many names for it over the millennia. No matter the name it is a time to come together and celebrate with feasts and gifts with friends and loved ones.

Each culture has a legendary figure who would deliver gifts to children during this time. In Russia and some Slavic cultures he is known as Ded Moroz, Grandfather Frost, and comes not on Christmas but on New Year’s along with his granddaughter Snegurochka, or ‘”Snow Maiden”. In the United Kingdom and other parts of Europe he is known as Father Christmas. In the Netherlands and Belgium he is known as Saint Nicholas or “Sinterklaas” and in France he is known as Père Noël. In the United States we know him as Santa Claus.

No matter the name or who is delivering gifts, it is the season of peace, joy and togetherness. It is the season for thinking about loved ones, friends and those less fortunate. It is a time to witness the goodness and generosity the human race is capable of. It is a time for peace on Earth and goodwill toward man.

At the Defenders compound the ground was covered with snow and the Defenders celebrated Christmas and Yule playing outside in the snow.

Svalin had been very busy in the months leading up to Yule. By tradition Yule gifts were mostly made and mostly consisted of clothing, weapons and jewelry. Svalin knew what she wanted to give her family and teammates for Yule and had started early. She had spent all the Asgardian gold she had brought from Asgard and most of her Migard money she had earned with the Defenders to purchase the items she needed.

When she was done she had gifts for her loved ones and friends that she was proud to five them.

For Vernique she made a butterfly broach made of gems and semi precious stones.

For Solver she made a few wooden toys which included wooden building blocks, a wooden dragon pull toy and a small wooden sword.

For Sydney Svalin made a bracelet and she made a similar one for Marlow.

Hal was the easiest. She had helped the Defenders' chefs make mead earlier in the year and had set aside two barrels for her brother. She also had gone hunting and managed to slay an elk. The meat had been cut up into steaks and some had been had ground up into sausage.

Svalin's needle work was a disaster and so instead of making a dress for her twin, with Sydney's help she purchased a silk dress for Aridis. She also bought a dress for Zoey.

Svalin made a dagger for each Iona and Kael.</a>
