And in yet another cell...
The darkness was broken by a slit of light, one that grew larger as her cell door drifted open. She hadn't heard the guards coming, but she'd been aware of.. something. There were vibrations in the walls and floors. Something wasn't right.

Getting slowly up, she made her way hesitantly to the door, expecting a guard to yank her out. A minute passed and that didn't happen, but she could hear shouting and far too much noise. Pushing the door open, she looked out quickly. No one. One foot left her cell, then another. Still, no reprisals. She saw movement as other inhabitants of the cells started testing the suddenly open doors. Free? Was she... free?

Not quite. She needed to get the collar on her neck off, then get out of here.

With that goal in mind, she slipped off quietly amid the sudden chaos as the inmates realized the same thing she had. Freedom. Finally.
