The date was set, but it's not a 'date'
Vincent, having returned from breakfast from Andrea and cleaned himself up to face the remainder of the day, waited in the lobby of the Baxter Building. It was still a few minutes before he was to meet Asleif, but he felt it best to be prepared. She might not view the movies they were going to see as their intended genre, but they should prove reasonably entertaining. The gap in years between their productions should also well illustrate the pace at which mortals make advancements in their crafts. He was rather looking forward to the outing, but was prepared to cut it short if she made any misunderstandings about the 'just friends' arrangement.

"Your friendship is thanks enough, my lady." He smiles quietly. "Bear that in mind."

He stood up, brushing his sleeves off of the dust from the rail. "I see much of us in each other, for all the good and ill that would entail. Perhaps we can learn from that."

Asleif's smile is small, but present. Warmer than one would have suspected (her siblings had often mused that her smile might frighten small children).

"We art much alike," she agreed. "All the better to meet as friends. Could be most... destructive, t'were it otherwise. But aye, as friends, there be much we canst learn from the other."
