"Deviants are...I'll try to explain this as simply as possible. When the Celestials came to Earth they did a few experiments on homo erectus. The Eternals were their success. The deviants...they were the failures. Their DNA is unstable so mutations are very common. Children don't look like parents and on and on. Once they ruled the whole Earth except for Atlantis and they enslaved the humans. The Eternals have fought them since the very beginning, but their numbers were way too great for my people to free humanity at that time."

She paused to take a deep breath.

"The Celestials paid a visit as they do once and awhile and all but wiped them out. That's when Atlantis and their city of Lemuria sank beneath the waves. Humans were free and went to populate the Earth. My people have been keeping watch and battling the deviants since then so they cannot enslave humanity again."

She shook her head.

"This was very strange. Deviants have never had powers like the ones we've seen in all of the Eternals' recorded history."
