Rita had been having a very long week. Things hadn't improved when a vampire she had been tracking had gotten away. She had tried every trick she had learned only to come up short. It left her frequently feeling frustrated since she really wanted that vampire taken out. He was a nasty piece of work.

Finally she gave up because she knew she couldn't find him on her own. So that was why she decided she'd call Tyler since he was an experienced vampire hunter. So she grabbed her cell phone out of her jacket and decided to give Tyler a call. Maybe he had an idea when it came to tracking down a vampire in a city as big as Seattle when it seemed like the creature had gone to ground.

	"She's running fine. I just fuss a bit. My bike is just kind of important to me. Can't explain it." She hated that vampire accusing her of being materialistic. It was so far from who she is and may have just been said to piss her off. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	They get back to her apartment building without much fuss. She parks the bike where it won't get towed or hit by another vehical and rolls her shoulders lazily as she starts for the front door of the building. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	She was confident that this was a safe place. Of course she would have to admit her place isn't very clean looking. There's books all over the place. Lots of charts with odd looking notations all over them dominate one wall. And then there's her work station where she makes her little toys. It's not exactly hidden. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Yes," she puts her bag on a stool next to the bench and makes her way into the kitchen.

"Of course.... I might need to move. People are starting to take notice of the weird smells my materials give off sometimes. Think they think I'm an addict." She pulls out two beers from the bowls of her refrigerator.

"I found a bible and a self=-help leaflet at my door last week," she admits with a faint shrug. "Guess it could've been worse."

"In some form or another my family has always had a connection with magic. And I've always been a really curious person." She takes a long draw from her beer.

"I got hurt really badly by a vampire in the first few months of moving to Seattle. Couldn't leave well enough alone after that. my Grandpa Angus ended up turning the Wakefield blade I use over to me to keep me from getting myself in too much trouble.... especially since well..... There's something wrong with me. After that attack I couldn't build any natural mental defenses of my own. Don't know why, never made sense. But it's why I wear these amulets. To keep people from altering my mind on me."
