An Old Friend
Fred was enjoying a moment outside, taking in the cool night air. Work had progressed acceptably, Sasha was inside making cookies, and his therapy sessions with Xavier were going well. All-in-all, things were going rather well.

"Hey, Friedrich!" came an emphatic whisper.

Fred turned in surprise. "Gary!? What are you doing on the surface?"

"Nice to see you too, kid," came the snarky reply. "Just wanted to give you a heads-up on that stuff you sent the eggheads."

"You mean the genetics data?"

"Yep."
