Sparring
Despite knowing she was getting an artificial arm at the end of the week, Svalin still wanted to improve her left-hand fighting skills. If anything, she was thorough in her fighting education. She also didn't know how well the artificial arm would work (she didn't trust technology all that much) and she wanted to be prepared just in case it didn't work as well as a natural arm.

She grabbed Vigfrior and went to find Kael.

	There was no logical reason to attack him high. She'd press the attack on his leg. And he's proven right when her foot strikes out. He shifts his body so her leg just barely misses before he attempts to drive the pummel of his sword into her leg. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The pommel connected with the part of her leg that was bleeding. Pain spiked and Svalin stumbled going down on one knee from the blow. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Okay, he filed this away as something Svalin was prone to doing. Unfortunately that meant little now as she tackled him to the ground. "I guess not," he smirked. His legs swung up to try and lock around her neck from the back. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Svalin was now past the point of caring about learning. She brought her sword up and tried to smash him in the face with the pommel. The leg was unexpected and came around her face and jerked her back. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The blow wasn't avoidable, instead he turned to take it on a less vulnerable part of his face. It still hurt like hell though. He also attempted to lock his legs around in order to incapacitate her. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	She brought her sword around to block the blow and didn't see the fist. The punch landed square on her face and there was a loud crack as her nose broke and blood started flowing. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The padded leather she wore on her chest absorbed the blow, but it was sporting a slash. It would have to be tossed out and new made, but the important thing was that she wasn't wounded. Svalin's blow hit air and the sword point went to the ground. She rolled her wrist over and brought the sword up in an uppercut. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	It wasn't who said it or what was said that stopped Svalin. It was the commanding tone that made her stop in her tracks and lower the sword. Svalin scowled at the sudden interruption. "What ist the problem, milady?" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Look, hon, I know there are few things you immortals like more than beating the living daylights out of each other, but that outfit is ruined, there's a lot of blood, and I'd like you cleaned up and still in possession of a functioning arm to tuck Solver in this afternoon."

Vernique shoots Kael a different long-suffering look than she normally gives Hal. Hal is Hal, and there's no stopping it. Maybe she can get Kael to see her point of view on the place of sparring. Maybe. Who knows.
