Attack In the Night
Night settled on the city of Cambridge and the activity level in the city slowly died down as the hours of the night progressed. Midnight came and went and the minutes and hours rolled slowly by. By three am there was almost no activity on the sidewalks and an occasional car rolled down the street.

The quiet of the city night was shattered by a loud explosion at the location of 491 Broadway. The explosion sent brick and mortar in all directions and the concussion blast set off the alarms of nearby cars. Men in yellow uniforms with full yellow helmets on poured out of four nearby transports and rushed into the hole in the side of the building created by the explosion.

The men in yellow weren't the only ones who were interested in getting into the renovated firehouse in Cambridge. Another small team had been sent to retrieve a certain device and schematics for it. That team wasn't going in by the gaping hole created by the explosion.

	The AIM agents kept firing and coming through the hole. They shot at Manny since he provided the largest target. Their energy blasts hit his tough armored hide and bounced off. Some were sent flying backward from the repulsor blast, but others rushed in to take their place. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Martin sends two of his discs forward, crashing into the oncoming attackers. But as he can see from that and Iron Girl's repulsor blasts, it wasn't going to do much. While Manny plows in, Martin stays back and thinks for a moment.

Then a slow, but excited, smile spreads. He may not play videogames but he'd heard of a lot of them. And some were great for ideas. He makes a line of three large discs on the floor in front of the advancing troops. Except these were slightly different, there were slight wisps of blue flame coming from them. If any were brave enough to charge...well they hadn't noticed the identical three discs on the ceiling right above the bulk of the agents. It was one of those self-activating teleportation spells. Step on the discs on the floor and you'd be teleported to the ones on the ceiling. Except of course gravity would help with the rest.

He does make sure to leave a gap for Manny to charge through if he'd like.

	"That is so cool. I still say you should teach me how to do it." Guardian comments to Martin, before he shoots a line down the hallway, pulls hard, and then slingshots himself at the agents. A few AIM agents fell like dominoes when Jack slammed into them. Three of them fell to the ground. More fell under Manny's rush and the others near the hole fell when the repulsor blast hit.

One that feel reached into a pouch and pulled out a small device. He pressed a button and a high frequency sound went out. It was high enough that it would disorientate anyone not wearing protective gear. Another one pulled out a similar device and activated it. A flash of extremely bright light went off.

	At the blinding flash Martin jams his hat farther down, trying to get it over his eyes. The sound is making his head ring, and he grips his hat tighter as his hands start sparking from all the frustration. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Thankfully her helmet protected her from the light and from the sound. She had to take out those devices to help her teammates. A laser emerged from her gauntlet and she fired at the small devices. A moment later the light and sound stopped. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"No they're not demons. That'd be more fun," he comments, completely misunderstanding the Spanish.

Still blinking and trying to recover from the flash, Martin catches movement and half squints and half glares at the ones trying to rush past. Not happening. Muttering the end part of the spell under his breath, he catches three of them in the time freeze and they're all frozen mid-run.

	Guardian gathers himself back up from the floor, extraneous bits of webbing falling off of him. "That... that sucked." Almost casually, he's so annoyed, he fires a web at the arching explosives. They're wrapped up and sent back the direction they came. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

While listening he does a brief telepathic probe, nothing strong enough to read even surface thoughts, just to feel out if there are any minds around. As expected he can feel Bea and Kelly and whoever they're fighting but he picks up on two more that are nowhere near that fighting.

"Umm Boss? We've got two more around here that I don't think anyone's dealing with right now...I can take someone with me to check it out."

	He gives Anya and Manny the location of the other two intruders then looks to where Jack has scurried off. Martin sighs and makes a disc on the ceiling to catch Jack as he scurries along and teleports them both away to where Bea and Kelly are dealing with the sneak team. What?
