Invasion of privacy
Rita had done her shopping for the week. Fresh food and some other essentials that she needed. She's in a good mood because she found some fresh hair dye to touch up the red in her hair so she'd look like herself. The weather is also pretty nice for this time of year too.

She is even singing softly under her breath right up until she feels like there's something off about her living room. She glances around then just freezes. What the hell?

"I didn't grow up in the Church. Either one." She smiles grimly. "In another time my family would have been persecuted for being Pagan. I don't believe there is just one god anyways.... How could the Christian or Jewish God explain what the world shows us today?"

She realizes that she's about to get into a religious debate with a vampire of all people.

"I'm sorry. That's not exactly a polite subject of conversation."

	"I couldn't wield my magic after that, I had to switch my entire focus to alchemy," she said with a shrug but then smiles. Her eyes crinkle with utter amusement. "I've gotten quite good at it. She doesn't know what to do about the vampire in her living room though. She does know she will be moving soon. She can't stay here after a vampire was in her living room looking at her things. "It's true. Also why I have to actively hunt. The vampires who are.... young draw my attention because they're sloppy. If they weren't sloppy I'd never know where to look," she says plainly.

But oh crap will things get complicated if a vampire lord makes himself known in Seattle. Well, no that's not true. Things might improve because he might demand better from the vampires in town.

Urg, who knows? She has no idea how this will play out.

"Forgive me for not being entirely comforted by that. You might be a gentleman but others are not. I won't feel safe until I get better wards in place. Despite my skills in alchemy I'm still very much a mortal. "

"Understandable," he says, rising to his feet. "I came to tell you there is no deathmark upon you. You cleanse the idiots from our ranks, and unlike most, I appreciate such a service. However," his gaze is cold. "I warn you now, if you interfere with my own efforts in this city, I will not be so forgiving."

Rita just gulps audibly. The Patriarch is utterly terrifying when he speaks. She's trying to keep her hands from shaking.

"I can't guarantee I won't be involved in the future. I help other hunters in the city. If you make it obvious... They'll come for you and I won't leave them to a war they'll start first. Just so we're clear, Patriarch."

Oh God. Why had she said that? She goes a little green around the gills just from nerves alone. It had been brave and foolish of her to say anything.
