Yes she was fully aware Josh was not a 'birthday' sort of guy. So perhaps she had decided to put his birthday as a notification on the database, and perhaps she had gotten an intern to accidentally-on purpose mess up some files so she'd have the chance to change his ringtone to the happy birthday song, and maybe, just maybe she had also arranged for some paper jockeys to come sing Happy Birthday at his meeting. Evil? What evil?
She'd left a wrapped package on his desk with a card attached. Inside was an encyclopedia on all the publicly known superheroes and villains. It was an edition hard to come by in most bookstores and rarely printed for some reason. You can nitpick and tell me all the things they got wrong in there. I owe you a non-work night out of my lab. And his cell goes off, cheerfully singing out Happy Birthday to him. What? She wanted to make sure her meddling had worked.
