Entry tags:armadillo jr., bea dayspring, crosshairs, guardian, martin baum, team - thunderbolts

There's only one magic guy on this team!
In the middle of the Thunderbolt's kitchen, a familiar swirl of blue flame comes out of nowhere and the young mage pops in. He'd come on a very important mission.

Ice cream sandwiches.

A species so rare in this freezer that it was almost extinct. Every single time they'd get more boxes of the stuff, it'd disappear almost immediately. Even the ones he'd specifically labelled with his name on it!

Now to find out if there were any left. The freezer door swings open on its own. There were boxes yesterday surely....

"JACK!"

Bea sighs and smiles. "It's okay, Martin. It's just something you need to work on."

More awkward shifting and fidgeting with his hat as he tries to just go through with it. He needed to show her just how thankful he was that she let him stay, and there was one obvious way most normal people did that. Except he didn't, and hadn't for years. Mostly because he was nervous what his powers might do to people, but really he knew that if he really tried he could.

And these were special circumstances.

Taking a large step towards her, much closer than the normal minimum of 1 metre he liked to keep between himself and others, Martin puts his hat back on and looks away as if trying to remember how this went. He slowly holds out his arms, which were unnaturally rigid now, and very slowly and carefully closes the distance between them. Awkwardly putting his arms around her with as little actual physical contact as he could manage, Martin hopes he got this somewhat right.

"...Thanks for letting me stay on the team Bea," comes the quiet and slightly nervous voice.

Aw, the poor guy. Bea hugs him gently. "You're welcome."
