Vincent tried to keep himself appraised of major goings related to the Golden Realm. He wasn't of it anymore, not the way he was, but he wasn't persona non grata either, so he got by well enough, so he thought.

"I wanted to thank you, for all you've done for Asleif and her siblings in their time on Earth. I don't think they could have acclimated as well as they have without your help."

I don't want it end up catching him unawares if either of them have the knack for it."

Yes, they were both of Richards' bloodlines, when you came right down to it, but magic wasn't always so easily compartmentalized. And Franklin certainly spun reality on the head of a pin often enough. Magic and reality warping weren't all that far from one another.

It was Svalin's job to protect her wife and that meant protecting her from everything, not just physical threats. Svalin could tell her wife needed rescuing from the look on her face and her body language. Asgardian hearing picked up the conversation and could hear the tightness in her wife's voice.

It was time to interrupt.

"Milady," she said with an understanding smile. "Vincent," she said with a polite nod.

Vincent turns as he senses a presence looming behind him, and manages not to seem startled. "Lady Svalin, good evening." He turns and inclines his head to her.

He also catches a head of flowing raven hair several yards behind her. "Ah, and that would be my companion for the evening. Vernique, thank you for the advice. Lady Svalin, if you'll excuse me." He politely moves around her, and heads over to Asleif.
