Practice (Open)
There was no such thing as too much practice in Svalin's mind which is exactly why she made it a point to practice as much as she could. Today she was working a difficult session in the practice room. The room was filled with trolls. They swarmed Svalin and it was all she could do to keep them back.

She yelled and took the head off of one, not pausing before moving on to the next.

Brandr walked in, in full warrior gear (though not his Crimson Hawk one) and stopped. "I apologize milady. I wast told this wast the way to the training room but I wast not informed it wast occupied." He stares openly curious at the Exemplars. How did this place work? Did they invite opponents from afar to spar? Surely someone would have informed him of this, it meant more to watch out for to protect the lady and the young lord.

Brandr shrugs and doesn't ask about how this works anymore because clearly he wouldn't understand. He takes off his furred cloak and goes to join them. "Art these ones a great challenge?" If so that slight smile on his face is just going to grow wider. He likes the idea of this. A variety of powerful opponents you can choose from and switch out to heart's content? Perfect.

	He notes their reactions to these enemies and takes it as a tough battle gone bad. But those happened to the best of them. So Brandr simply draws his sword and spins it casually. "Understood. Which ones have thee claimed as opponents? I shalt deal with the remainder." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Do not take them lightly," Kael snapped at Brandr! "This is what I meant that day in the kitchen. Just because they are born of Midgard, do not overestimate their power! I was felled by just two of them! And you would presume to fight five!"

Kael got in his face. "You presume to protect Lady Vernique and Prince Solver when this is the caliber of enemy we face!? You need to be educated and quickly."

Brandr just stands his ground and looks Kael in the eye, clearly waiting out the elf's anger. "As I recall Lady Svalin saying, she shalt remove the opponents beyond those which are deemed to be for this fight," he says with practiced calm.

"Do not be so angered. The way one fights in training and on duty can not be the same. I would not fight these opponents in the same way should the lady or young lord be present, as my priorities would differ. Training ist to learn and to test oneself. There ist little reason to be so grim during it, though mayhap this is simply the difference in our approaches."

He does not trust the elf as of yet, but everyone has vouched for him so Brandr decides not to show the mistrust outright. Clearly there was a personal element to this he was unaware of, but he would not back down in front of another warrior getting in his face, friend of Lady Svalin or not.

	"I take all mine opponents seriously. But this doth not mean I must enter all mine battles so sour." Did the elf not have any enjoyment of battle? Or did he enter all his fights with such a grim expression. Perhaps Hogun the Grim had competition for the title. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
