Lunching out (Backdated a bit)
"Manny? Are you free for lunch?" He'd been showing up to HQ more since the whole therapy thing suggested he should. But he still needed to get out of the HQ for some fresh air and he needed someone to come with him if he wanted to eat out. The Sanctum was currently being used for whatever serious business Dr. Strange was dealing with, which meant that he couldn't stay over there. "We can stay in the city I promise! I can't go for lunch by myself..." He hoped the older guy would agree, Manny was nice and Martin figured he'd be good lunch company.

"Corrupt executives," Manny replied. "For a time after the Power Broker's influence was removed, UCWF made a push to legitimize itself. It did for awhile, but then people in charge started paying us less, guys playing backstage politics for better positions on the card, and other mierda. The straw that broke my back was that one of the promoters wanted us to run an anti-mutant angle on one of the wrestlers to draw in ratings. I refused to go along with it and quit."

"Well, I heard most people get their powers when they're like a teenager. And I didn't see any normal people for a few years and the Thunderbolts are the first ones I've really talked to so Bea's the first one I know about." He stops and snickers. "I know that Manny, it'd be weird if I didn't." Martin holds up gloved hands to make his point, he was a sorcerer primarily but the mutant part would always be there.

Martin doesn't seem to assured and he wonders if Manny didn't trust his teleports. They were his best spell next to his magic discs and he didn't screw it up easily. "Okay I guess..." It seemed wrong that Manny would have to take a plane and spend all that time doing so when a teleport would do the job much faster and more conveniently. And no baggage limits either!

	He shrugs and doesn't seem convinced. It just wasn't something he could wrap his mind around. To go through all that hassle of planes when there was a much easier way that had no real drawbacks he could think of. But there was no good pressing the issue if Manny insisted he wasn't interested.
