A Not So Quiet Day
It was a rare occasion when most of the Defenders were out of the compound and elsewhere. Today that happened as most were out shopping or doing other errands. Christmas and Yule were coming and some still had gifts left to purchase/make. Svalin had been done for days since she knew she wouldn't be here. She was taking advantage of the quiet to get some chores done. There were stalls to clean out, horses to groom, saddles to oil, weapons to sharpen and other chores.

Right now she was grooming Snowflake outside while he grazed.

	Svalin was grateful that Solver and Vernique had spent the day with her mother-in-law shopping. Jan stopping by LA to take them shopping was not unheard of. Svalin was cleaning up the Dark Elf blood when Vernique came home. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Because when, another time I took him shopping, some of the toughest malicious idiots this particular plane has to offer could have killed me and probably would have taken him, there was this big white-haired lug who got in their way and wouldn't give in." She reached to touch shoulder. "You saved my life, Kael. And, more importantly, my son. I know a lot's happened since then, but don't think, even when I've been at my worst, that I've ever forgotten that. If you're going to go on a kick of what your presence or your very existence is responsible for or could be responsible for, let's not forget things like that."
