I was drowning my sorrows, but my sorrows they learned to swim (Lena)
Tim did the one thing most people do when they didn't want to think; he threw himself into his work. He spent the past week in his lab working on projects. When he was working he wasn't thinking about things like feelings and whatnot. Life was better that way.

There's a knock at his lab door but Lena doesn't wait for an answer and goes in. Tim had been holing himself up in his lab, for reasons she could suspect but wasn't going to bring up, and someone had to do something. Tim was a good friend and he needed cheering up. So she'd even do something she never normally did...intentionally book a night off from the lab in order to just...socialize. Normally socializing worked around lab time, but this was an emergency and Tim was too good a guy to let do this to himself.

"Good news Tim. For the first time in...ever really, I'm taking a night out of the lab and taking a page from your book. Dragging fellow lab rats out to see the outside world. And I decided to share this with you." She gave him a warm smile then got his coat off a hook for him. "C'mon, you need a break and I've been told I make decent company."

	Tim looked up from the read out screen. "Lena? I can't go anywhere. I have a project due in two days." Tim really wasn't in the mood to socialize. He wasn't in the mood for anything except hiding away in the lab. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"You and I know you've mastered the art of cramming and good coffee helps pull some strings to give you a little leeway too. Thank me later, we're going out for a bit Tim." She held up his coat for him. She was stubborn, and if this meant most of the night needed to be spent just getting him out of the lab, so be it. Tim needed some fresh air, a break, and some drinks.

Good, he wasn't going to struggle. "Somewhere with food that med wouldn't allow. It'll be good, c'mon," she smiled. Bar food she was pretty sure was a no according to med. Made it all that much better. She'd found a small place, quiet enough to talk but still enough background chatter to keep it from it seeming too quiet. One of the places she and Val had found. Her tab tonight.
