As far as I know they haven't been going out all that long, if you wait too long Tim, you're going to lose your chance." She had no idea if it'd work for him but maybe it was better to get it out now and get an answer or at least have her consider it. But getting it off his shoulders might make him feel better and she did want to see Tim happy.
