Sydney had prodded Kael to attend so it was only fair she go with him. Avery was out on a business trip and she couldn't not go. Zoey ran off to find Scotty and Syd had to at least say hello to Mr. Stark and drop off the pile of books she brought as donations.
When she was done she went to find her escort for the evening.
She offered him a glass of champagne. "The key to these things is to have some fun. Or at least have a few drinks until they become fun."
