They may have numbers, but their coordination dies down a little bit with sudden radio silence. The people coordinating the guild teams suddenly have other things to worry about, not that far away. A few of the people attacking Etoile, and all of the lookouts are distracted, at least briefly, by the only sound coming through their coms being the demonic howl of the bike, and a few screams.
