"Be real careful of deals and promises with me, Etoile." he says, using her name instead of Cajun, or anything else, to mark how serious he is. "Demons take those real, real seriously, including the one living where a soul usually goes. All good if you know the terms and all, but... open ended promises aren't the best of ideas.I've enjoyed the company too, though."
