Lightning Strikes
Stephen Remus sat in the office of his penthouse, smoking a cigarette as he looked out the window.

"You have your team. You ready for your first outing?" Remus asked the figure behind him.

"Yes," came the audibly distorted voice. "We know where they'll all be."

Remus takes another drag of his cigarette before responding. "Good. You've all been practicing, let's see how you do against the real thing. Good hunting."

The sound of metallic boots are heard leaving as the figure goes to announce the mission's start.

	Manny just barely dodged back from the swing. Thing was quicker than it looked. Manny went to grapple the robot, trying to force it to the ground. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Oh lord, this wasn't going to end well. Manny tried to outmuscle his opponent, but he didn't even look winded. If this guy was a robot, that meant he wouldn't get tired, while Manny would be on the verge of muscle strain at this rate. His feet dug as he fought to remain upright. He had to break this stalemate. Suddenly he had an idea, a move a Luchador friend of his taught him. He just hoped he was strong enough to pull it off. He suddenly fell back, trying to pull Ankylosaur forward so his legs could push on his chest and fling the robot behind him.

	The Ankylosaur had not expected that. Thrown off balance by Manny's move, it was flung through the air, landing with a heavy crash. Its design made it quite awkward once it was off its feet, and it struggled to rise. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Manny awkwardly managed to roll back onto his feet, though throwing something so heavy with his legs made them kind of wobbly. He considered attacking it while it was down, but..even if it was a robot that didn't sit well with him. "How about you surrender now?" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Manny had rolled out, lying on his own back and hissed in pain. It was worse than he thought, some of the plates had shattered completely, exposing tender, raw flesh underneath. "Ditto," he managed weakly in agreement. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Ankylosaur booted up its self-repair protocols. It could likely not prolong this conflict much further. A tactical retreat was going to be necessary. (Reply to this)(Parent)
