Cool Story, Bro
Having been dropped off by Irina, Argo was once again at the steps of the Defenders' compound. Circumstances of late had dictated that he speak with his brother, of matters both important and familiar.

He had, in fact, shown the presence of mind to call ahead. He was not looking forward to this conversation, not at all. But his brother deserved to know. Which was why it was also going to require drinking. Lots and lots of drinking.

	Kael was sitting outside when Argo appeared. He didn't know what his brother wanted to talk about, but when the usually jovial Argo gets serious, that was enough to get Kael's attention. "Brother," Kael greeted evenly. He stood up, briefing recollecting the last time the brothers met at this place. He fought an instinctive pain in his head. (Reply to this)(Thread)

He shook his head. "I understand this is... nothing new. I had thought, perhaps, the dark times we just weathered might be it. But since that was a strike against the gods themselves, I now know that to have been a different menace."

"He is... not without his compassion," Argo said, "but he is also capricious and callous at times, and given to looking more to his own backyard."

He went on, "I was on Olympus when the proclamation went out, and petitioned him for permission to intervene. He denied me. I sought other means to return... but was prevented each time. Finally... he did tell me that if I so loved the mortals, then I could share their fate. He banished me to Earth."

Kael takes all this in, trying to maintain a strategic outlook. "Then my guess sis the threat is not related to Olympus in any way, or else it would have been more pragmatic to ally with Midgard against it. however, it is something Zeus clearly fears as he doesn't want it turned toward Olympus if they intervene."
