One of a Kind
The Collector was always searching for unique and unusual items to add to his personal collection. He had numerous worlds filled with items he had collected over the eons. His attention had wandered away from Earth for awhile, but that changed. Now something unique caught his eye and he was determined to add it to his collection.

He landed on the front porch of the Defenders' compound. He blasted the door into oblivion and walked into the building.

Brandr purposefully ignored the elf. If anyone had no business on this mission it was that man. It was a Crimson Hawk's duty to protect this family, one that he was trained for and one that he dedicated his life to. Kael was the prince of an old enemy of Asgard, one he still didn't trust, he had zero business on this trip as far as he was concerned. But if the ladies said he could come he would not question it. Though he did think the elf stood no chance against the collector. He'd thrown a fit over thinking that Brandr had said he could take on all 6 of some enemy it'd only taken 2 of to bring the prince down. To say the swordsman didn't think too much of the elf would be quite accurate.

As much as he'd like a second shot at the Collector, orders and duty came above that so he'd bow to whatever Svalin chose.

"Nay," she said stubbornly. "We wilt keep the Collector occupied as long as we canst. Thou wilt lead the others and find mine son. Thou art best for finding him."

Asleif fought the urge to roll her eyes. Why doth I even bother speaking if scarcely anyone doth listen?

"If that is thine decision."

Vernique doesn't care. Her not-caring is immense. She doesn't care who distracts the Collector, although Hal's an obvious candidate. She's going to stick close to Aslief, because Aslief knows where Solver is. She appreciates that there will be people distracting the collector and people helping them. This is the absolute capacity of her caring.

"From father's tales, the Collector's pens art well guarded, and most dangerous. There wilt be no less challenge in that endeavor."

Svalin was torn. She knew the Collector had to be distracted and getting her son wouldn't be easy. Unfortunately she couldn't be in both places at once. She had to figure out how to effectively divide their forces.

Hal, as much as she loved him, would be stupid and attack the Collector. The chances of him going into the madness were high and Svalin didn't know if Asleif or Aridis would be able to bring him out of it. He had to stay with her.

Her faith in Asleif, Aridis, Kael and Vernique's abilities were unwavering and she knew they would do whatever task was set before them. Brandr was injured, but Svalin knew he would die fighting to retrieve Solver and Iona wasn't a warrior.

"Asleif, Aridis and Kael, thou wilt distract the Collector. Halbjorn, Vernique, Iona and mineself wilt find Solver."

...Wait. Be someone actually listening to me? Wilt wonders never cease?

If Asleif was surprised, she did not show it. Instead, she summoned up another glowing sphere. "Once we art inside, this shalt lead thee to him."

Kael looked over at Asleif with a brief "well-done" expression. "Good fortune to all of us."
