Attack of the Evil Grandfathers: Escape.
Zeb had to admit it: as absurd villain team-ups went, the writers could have done much worse. His current partner was fabulous at that techie-stuff. The Mad Thinker's hacking of the surveillance had hidden Zeb's little fast from the guards and, once his powers were in working order, lured them into his cell. Then the suckers had unlocked the doors for them and ...'escorted' them out. Now, they were planning their next move over a shish kebab. Well, part planning. Part showing off pictures of the grandkids, as they pulled little bits of film-study off the internet.

Such as footage of a couple of Alpha Flight members going to Easter Mass.

"Give me that thing for a minute, Denk?" And Zeb took the stolen eyephone and sent off a voice message. "Melanie. This is your Deda. Saw your easter pictures, kiddo. Bad enough, any blood of mine in a church, but the little white shoes and little white dress? You look like a fucking '70s nurse. Oh well. At least the writers decided to shake things up a little. And this is just the prelude. Be seeing you!"

He turned it off, smiling. "What about you, Denk? Want to give your boy's little girl a preview, to listen to just as the view cuts back and forth from the news to her blank little face?"

The Thinker allowed himself a small smile and held it for exactly three seconds. Even among the super-villain circles, Killgrave was... a rather unique individual and quite the x-factor. Better to have him where he could manipulate him than against him.

"I rather think I shall," he agreed. "I calculate a 97 percent certainty that the mere sound of my voice will cause an overall drop of 48 percent in her coherence and effectiveness."

He accepted the device and sent off a voice message of his own. "Andrea," he began. "Such a disappointment. The natural progression of my technology, and you persist on pretending to be human, pretending to be a hero. I do not deal well with disappointment. Steps will be taken to correct this error."

"Good. Now they'll be jumping at shadows waiting for relatives to come right away. Which isn't what we'll give them for the opening."

"Fearful reactions are much more predictable than most people give them credit for. They shall play precisely into our hands."
