A Night Out On the Town (Open to all)
After all that has happened, and his first session with Doctor Samson, Dolemeck decided to do something he never thought he would do. He snuck out of the apartment he shared with Derek, and decided to go out and find somewhere happy to be. This world was so different, more different now than before his memories returned. But he had to try and make the best of it in some way. Find something that would not make him feel as though his new life was worth living. Having shadow ported about the city for a few hours, Dolemeck finally found some place to go that might bring him joy. After-all, everyone at this place appeared happy!

"A night club..." he spoke softly as he stood outside of the building and looked at it. People were smiling and walking in to the large building, and they appeared to be smiling as they left. The music was loud enough he could hear it from the sidewalk. It was the sort of music Derek sometimes played in their apartment.

Dressed in a white dress shirt that hid most of the bandages about his arms, black slacks, some dress shoes, and a black vest. His long black hair now was slightly past his shoulders, after some of it was cut off in Spain. Dolemeck made his way up to the line to get into the nightclub, and eventually given entry into it.

"Let the merriment begin."

"I agree wholeheartedly." Vincent smirks as he finishes his first drink, ordering another. "How are you acclimating to the new time period?" He pauses. "Do you know who I am?"

"Actually, no, I do not know who you are. So you will have to forgive me." Dolemeck's own smile turned a bit meek. "As for how I am dealing with this new day and age? Not very well, in all honesty. Everything I knew does not appear to have any use, now. I am currently in therapy and trying to find some reason to keep going."

Vincent was about to launch into a polite explanation of his level of celebrity, when therapy comes up.

"Oh... well, let's see what we can add to the list of reason candidates." He signals the bartender. "Appletini for the gentleman. On the rocks."

"An appletini?" He raised a somewhat slender eyebrow at the bartender, before looking back over at Vincent. "I am still on the fence as to what is causing me more pain. This world, or how I feel about myself. But I do have very supportive adoptive family. I fit in quite well with them."

Once the bartender returned with his appletini, Dolemeck looked at it curious. One of his fingernails looked sharper than before, and just stabbed at a piece of fruit in the drink glass, and brought it up to his lips to eat. Once the piece of apple was gone, his nail returned to normal, and he started to drink the actual drink.

"I know what that can be like. My blood relations are... difficult to deal with. The people I grew up with, I love with every fiber of my being."

"Aye, my cousin Derek is a good man. I would be lost without him." Dolemeck always spoke highly of Derek Woo. He was Dolemeck's best and only friend after-all. "I am most honored to have a friend and family member like him. But I feel bad I am a burden upon him. He is a sixteen year old young man. He should be doing better things than caring for me. Such as wooing women, hanging out with people his own age, going to school."

"It sounds much like the relationship with my brother.

If he's half as good a person, it hasn't even crossed his mind to think of you as a burden. Besides, if he's sixteen, he's going to find time for women no matter how much else is on his plate." Vincent chuckles.

"You know, I have not seen him even trying to woo any ladies." Dolemeck finished his appletini, and now was starting to look a little tipsy. "I should maybe take a vacation or something, give him alone time to be a kid, instead of my babysitter. I mean sure, he's going to be the next Khan... but right now, he needs to have fun. He's got plenty of time to be all serious! I mean, it's not like in my time, when you were expected to already be married and have children at his age! Or go off to fight wars on behalf of your King, country, and God!"

Dolemeck smiled in a dopey manner, waving the bartender over to get him another appletini. "I mean, bloody fuck, man. I never got the chance to be a teenager myself, much less a child. I never found love and what? I've been chaste for well over a thousand years! I do not want my cousin to end up like me. I want him to have all the bloody fun he could ever have! *hic* "

Vincent discretely cast a spell to turn the bartender's attention away from the other young man. He'd rarely seen another be affected by alcohol quite so quickly. He needed to pace himself.

"Well then... you should do something about that. What sort of fun should you be having?"

"I do not know to be honest." He gave off a sigh, looking over at Vincent as he toyed with his empty drink glass. "Fun in my era was completely different. You chased chickens, jousted, rode horses... things that are obsolete now. I do not know what would be fun for my cousin, either."

He finally stopped playing with his drink glass and looked over at his drinking companion. "Hey, Vincent... what do you think is fun?"

"Horses are hardly obsolete." He begins. "As for myself... reading, exploration of wild reaches, cosmic or dimensional travel... dancing, the aforementioned wooing of young women,--" He grins. "--the occasional trip to a museum or art gallery... Fun is where you find it."

"I enjoy museums and libraries. Art galleries as well." He nodded his head. "But I doubt a sixteen year old boy would. He'd probably want something with adventure, beautiful women, a sense of danger... "

Dolemeck swayed a little in his chair, his accent stronger than normal. "I know! Amsterdam! I hear that is the perfect place for an adventure! It has beautiful women, danger, and Adventure with it's forests and rivers..."

"Well there's a plan then." He smiles, and takes a business card out. "Here. My number. Give me a call in about a week, and we can schedule a weekend to enjoy the city. I might bring along a new teammate or two."

Dolemeck accepted the business card, all smiles, now. Well, all smiles in thanks to all the alcohol in his system. He then takes out a fountain pen he keeps hidden in his vest, and scribbles his phone number on a napkin for Vincent. Even drunk, the man had gorgeous hand writing.

"Here is my number. I think I would like to take you up on that offer to see the city. Might do me some good, and give my cousin some time to relax. *hic*"
