There was about a week to go until July 4th, or as Marlow so accurately put it, Fireworks Day! Martin loved fireworks, even moreso ever since he figured out how to make his own with magic years ago. So tonight he sat on the roof of the Thunderbolts HQ ready to do a test run. The city of Boston would get an unscheduled fireworks show. City officials could be confused as they wanted, but he wasn't actually using real fireworks, just making the effects using magic. Plus, the bang they let off was part of the experience. He also had some new ones he wanted to try.

It might be a little hard to sleep at the TBolts HQ if your room wasn't soundproofed tonight. But Martin was determined to put on a great show.

	"It doesn't," Anya agreed. Logan was Uncle Logan, but he wasn't blood related. Uncle Rhodey and Aunt Monica as well. "I did meet her. I've visited the Defenders a few times. Computer upgrades." Among other things. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"They have a big place! I didn't know you've met her though. She's excellent at illusions, you should ask her to show you some next time you're there. And she does great fireworks too!" He chattered happily, as he waved his arms around again to continue the fireworks show. The next one burst into red and gold, in a shape that looked like a person flying across the sky.

	"Hmm? Sure!" He positively beamed at the request. And the next ones that went up would first explode into rings of blue and red, and then a final one exploded in the middle, creating a star-shaped effect and pulling off the Captain America shield perfectly. 	"Okay! I can teleport to him or you if you ask. It's no trouble." The next one was a series of brilliant red firework explosions, lighting up the sky in the colour, with only a few blue on the periphery. And then a particularly bright white one exploded in the middle, sending thin white sparkly jets all over and creating a web-like pattern as it did so. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Thank you. You can make requests you know, if you think of any!" Another gentlemanly hat tip as thanks for the compliment and he waited for this one to disperse before setting up the next fireworks. He had a few more from the superhero series to throw up before he'd go into the grand finale. There were some more classics (because he didn't know that many big name superheroes), bright blue ones going off along with white ones, leaving a smokey effect too, similar to clouds. And then thundering bangs as yellow bolts exploded out of them, lighting up the sky and pulling off the thunderstorm effect perfectly. "That's my Thor one," he explained.

The next one started off with purple bursts in the sky, before an even brighter purple bolt shot out, creating an arrow image for a moment right before it exploded again and what looked like countless tiny purple arrows rained down. No, he didn't know the original Hawkeye, and hadn't really heard much of him before. So this one was entirely Frances inspired.

	"No one really admits to being a superhero or even a hero. We see it as doing what needs to be done. Strange is a hero, just like Cap and Thor and the other Avengers. Like all of us." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Hero and Superhero aren't the same though. They're very different. And Dr. Strange is Sorcerer Supreme. That's greater than all of that," he nodded earnestly. "Superheroes have other things to worry about, but he helps if they come and ask or if there's something really big. But he doesn't patrol and fight crime usually. He has a lot of magic issues to deal with, he doesn't have too time for superheroing or that stuff." Having clarified that, Martin turned back around to send up the next fireworks and build up for the finale.

When he said Lord of the Rings inspired , he'd apparently meant re-enacting the dragon firework at the beginning. Because the roaring gold and red beast swooping through the night skies really did look like a massive dragon flying over Boston. But it was clearly part of tonight's firework show still. It flew low, swooping just over buildings, before roaring once more and flying up into the sky where it made the biggest explosion of the night. It left a great shining eye behind with a red and blue backdrop. Very clearly the Eye of Agamotto to any in the know.

It was Martin, of course he'd leave Dr. Strange's to the very last with the massive finale of extra fireworks behind it.

He had a plethora of reasons to. And while he understood why people would want to file Dr. Strange with themselves under superhero, he couldn't agree with it. He also had very clear distinctions of 'Superhero' and everything else. That others didn't see this distinction struck him as odd, but he simply put it down to the superhero mindset and lack of magic.

He beamed and took off his hat in a swoop and bowed low. The artist finishing his performance.

"It'll be even better on the 4th! You'll see! And I'll start it off with the Thunderbolts one so it'll be like: 'Made/Sponsored by the Thunderbolts'! And then maybe it'll be more okay that we sorta ended up breaking some stuff when we were attacked last time."
